Course Description: Examine how school curriculum has changed in the past 20 years based on empirical evidence discovered through extensive research into how the brain works, how children learn, and how they may be affected by adverse childhood experiences or disabilities.
Understand the correlation between curriculum trends and trends in school design. Analyze the importance of indoor environmental quality and healthy materials in education settings. Describe how to integrate innovative and high-performance design principles into schools to optimize the learning environment.
