Course Description

Explore the visionary work of Frank Lloyd Wright through the story of the Meyer May House, a Prairie-style icon in Michigan.

This course examines the personal, cultural and societal influences behind its design and the meticulous two-year restoration that revived its original form nearly 80 years later. You’ll learn how Wright’s interpretation of user centricity, harmony and connection to nature can inspire today’s design challenges, and reflect on the importance of preserving original design, allowing historical integrity to inform modern creativity.

This session invites you to think critically about design legacy and its relevance in contemporary practice.
