Join IIDA Alabama for Glass & Grain, a hands-on experience combining woodworking, glassblowing, and a little creativity! This event is made possible by our sponsors: Business Interiors, Carpet Specialties, National Wallcovering, Patcraft, and Shaw Contract.

Participants will have the opportunity to build and decorate their own wooden birdhouse and take part in a glassblowing experience to create a glass ornament. Spend as much or as little time as you'd like on your birdhouse while taking turns at the glassblowing station. Lunch will be provided.

A Few Things to Know:

• Birdhouses can be taken home the day of the event.

• Glass ornaments will need time to cool and will be available for pickup or delivery at a later date.

• Glassblowing takes approximately 15 minutes per participant, with two participants accommodated at a time.

• Closed-toe shoes are required for participation in glassblowing.

• Space is limited to 15 people per sessions, so be sure to register for your preferred time!

This event is made possible through the generous support of our event sponsors.

To help ensure these opportunities remain available to Alabama’s design community, registration is intended for practicing designers, as well as representatives of companies sponsoring this specific event. Manufacturer representatives, dealer sales representatives, and other industry representatives whose companies are not sponsoring this event are asked to reach out to IIDA Alabama before registering. This allows us to confirm attendance with the event sponsors when appropriate.
